Nevada's Excellence in Mine Reclamation Award video created by the Nevada Division of Minerals. This video highlights three award-winning projects in 2025.
(1) An award in the category of "Innovation in Revegetation Research" was presented to AngloGold Ashanti for their Sterling Mine revegetation test plots.
(2) An award in the category of "Excellence in Earthwork" was presented to Kinross Gold for their Bald Mountain Mine, Gator Haul Road and Rock Disposal Areas.
(3) An award in the category of "Leadership in Conservation Planning" was presented to Nevada Gold Mines for their Long Canyon Mine.
This video highlights mine reclamation innovation and success in Nevada. The Nevada Excellence in Mine Reclamation Awards began in 1991. Awards are determined by a team of mining, permitting, and reclamation subject matter experts, including representatives from the Nevada Division of Minerals, Nevada Department of Wildlife, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and U.S. Forest Service.
