FROM THE TRANSCRIPT
"Welcome to Assumption University. This video will give you a look at the first year residence halls at Assumption. Our first stop is Alumni Hall and Desautels Hall or Des, as it's better known. These buildings are adjacent to each other, connected by a breezeway, with what we call the Alumni Des courtyard in the back. Alumni has three floors and houses, 141 residents. Des also has three floors and houses 160 residents. Each room in alumni and Des are double occupancy. So you'll have one roommate. We don't force triples here at Assumption. So if a room is made for two people, you will only find two people in it. Each room is approximately 14 and a half feet long and 11 and a half feet wide. Next we'll take a look at Nault Hall and Hanrahan Hall."
"Nault Hall is the substance free living area on campus, so students who choose to live here live a substance free life, and all class years live in one building. It also has a double occupancy. Hanrahan Hall is specifically designed for students in the honors program. If you're in the honors program, we encourage you to live here, but you are definitely not required to. The rooms in Hanrahan and Nault are approximately 14 and a half feet long and 11 and a half feet wide. The last two halls that house first year students are Salisbury Hall or Sals, and Worcester Hall. Worcester houses 242 residents across four floors, and first year students, as well as sophomores live in this building."
"Salisbury is exclusively for first year students, and houses 212 residents across four floors. Both of these buildings are identical. Each room houses three students in a larger triple room. If you live in either of these buildings, you'll have two additional roommates, which just means more hounds for your pack. Each Sals and Worcester room are approximately 18 feet by 16 and a half feet."
"When you live at Assumption, you experience the best of two worlds. Living on a beautiful and lively New England college campus, while enjoying the easy access to all the dynamic city of Worcester has to offer. Everything you need is just steps from your door. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the office of residential life."
