Karingachira St. George's Church, established in 722 AD is one of the ancient churches of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox.
In 1857, Saint Parumala Thirumeni was ordained as a deacon in this church.
It is believed that St. Baselios Yeldho (Kothamangalam Bava) brought a relic from Kothamangalam to Mamala near Thiruvankulam on foot and that the parishioners of Karingachira received him and installed the relic in the Karingachira church on December 3.
എ ഡി 722 ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ കരിങ്ങാച്ചിറ സെൻ്റ് ജോർജ്ജ് പള്ളി മലങ്കര സുറിയാനി ഓർത്തഡോക്‌സിൻ്റെ പുരാതന ദേവാലയങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്.
1857-ൽ പരുമല തിരുമേനി ഈ ദേവാലയത്തിൽ ശെമ്മാശനായി അഭിഷിക്തനായി.
പരിശുദ്ധ ബസേലിയോസ് യെൽദോ (കോതമംഗലം ബാവ) കോതമംഗലത്ത് നിന്ന് തിരുവാങ്കുളത്തിനടുത്തുള്ള മാമലയിലേക്ക് കാൽനടയായി ഒരു തിരുശേഷിപ്പ് കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവെന്നും കരിങ്ങാച്ചിറ ഇടവകാംഗങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ച് ഡിസംബർ മൂന്നിന് കരിങ്ങാച്ചിറ പള്ളിയിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചെന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
