It’s a beloved genre for settling scores, developing rivalries, and forging some of the most epic and memorable memories possible in gaming. The fighting game community is one of the most passionate around. 1v1. Assists. Tag teams. Combos. Blocking. Special attacks. Button mashing. And way more complicated terminology. Today we’ll discuss hidden gems worthy of the genre that are often overlooked. This is not a best of list and the rankings aren’t necessarily by quality, but by how unappreciated or forgotten these titles are, and we’re covering multiple types of fighting games, from 2D-3D and beyond. I have played all of them and can personally attest to the experience being positive as a big fan of this genre.
