IGF-1 is primarily Regulated by Human Growth Hormone
IGF-1 has a Delayed Release (8-24 Hours) after exercise
IGF-1 is Produced and Secreted from the Liver
Anabolic: Skeletal muscle protein synthesis and inhibition of proteolysis (works against glucocorticoids)
IGF-1 is Not an androgen
IGF-1 has a role in Enhancing bone mineralization and Increasing insulin sensitivity
Can be used to treat some cases of dwarfism.
