What is the difference between a barrister and a solicitor? Who gets paid more? How do you become a barrister or solicitor? What do barristers and solicitors do?
There are some of the questions I will answer in this video. A lot of people are unsure of the difference between a barrister and a solicitor. This video will explain what work each does everyday, how much they get paid and what the education pathway is to become them.
The skills required to become a barrister and a solicitor are very different. Barristers are self-employed, often work alone and need to be fantastic public speakers. On the other hand, solicitors work directly with clients and instruct barristers to present the cases in court.
Both careers are very competitive. You will need more than just a strong degree to stand out against the competition!
