In this video, I modify the magazine system on my Rossi 1892 to improve speed and reliability for Cowboy Action Shooting. These upgrades make loading smoother, reduce tension, and help rounds cycle more cleanly. I install a new follower from Steve’s Gunz, shorten the magazine spring, and relieve the loading gate window to allow faster, easier reloads.
Modifications include:
• Replacing the factory follower with a low-friction aluminum one from Steve’s Gunz
• Shortening the magazine spring for better tension and smoother feeding
• Relieving the loading gate window for faster reloads under pressure
