महाराष्ट्र निकाय चुनाव को लेकर बड़ा अपडेट सामने आया है। बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने राज्य चुनाव आयोग को आदेश दिया है कि अब नगर परिषद और नगर पंचायत चुनावों के नतीजे 3 दिसंबर की जगह 21 दिसंबर को घोषित किए जाएं। जिन 20–24 निकाय क्षेत्रों में चुनाव आयोग ने “प्रक्रियात्मक अनियमितताओं” का हवाला देकर मतदान टाल दिया था, वहां अब 20 दिसंबर को वोटिंग होगी और सभी नतीजे एक साथ 21 दिसंबर को आएंगे।

हाईकोर्ट ने यह भी स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि EVM अगले 3 हफ्तों तक सील ही रहेंगी, और आदर्श आचार संहिता (Model Code of Conduct) 20 दिसंबर तक लागू रहेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने चुनाव आयोग के स्थगन फैसले की कड़ी आलोचना की थी और इसे “मनमाना और कानूनी रूप से अस्थिर” बताया था। कोर्ट के आज के आदेश पर उन्होंने कहा—
“चुनाव आयोग ने गलती तो नहीं की, लेकिन कानून की गलत व्याख्या ज़रूर की है।”

A major development has emerged in the Maharashtra Municipal Elections 2025. The Bombay High Court has directed the State Election Commission to announce the election results on December 21 instead of December 3. The 20–24 municipal councils and nagar panchayats where voting was postponed due to “procedural irregularities” will now go to polls on December 20, and the results of all 288 local bodies will be announced together.

The court also ordered that EVMs remain sealed for the next three weeks, and the Model Code of Conduct will remain in force until December 20.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had strongly criticised the SEC’s decision to postpone elections, calling it “arbitrary and legally unstable.” Reacting to the High Court’s order, he said:
“The Commission did not make a mistake, but they certainly misinterpreted the law.”
