Jawa 350/639 - Accessing & Changing Carb Needle Valve (HD)

This video is all about changing the needle valve (pintle valve, like Andy said) of the Jawa 350/639 carburettor. Why did it had to be changed? Because it did not sealed at all, letting the gasoline overflow the floating chamber quickly, causing the engine to be unstartable. So it's important to have it working and to seal properly.

Therefore - after change - one must check, if it seals properly, otherwise there is no point to assemble the carb back into one piece. If it doesn't, we have to make the seat seal and then check the fuel height in the chamber after the valve closes and set the carb up new. But that is a topic for another video.

TOOLS:
13 mm wrench
cross screw driver big and small
pliers
drain box
gloves

MATERIAL:
new fuel needle valve
new floating chamber sealing, if you like
brake or carb cleaner
paper towels or a rag
