John Lennon meets Len Garry and he Joins The Quarrymen

John Lennon asked Len Garry to join The Quarrymen when they were struggling to find a permanent tea-chest bass player. It was Ivan Vaughan - who later introduced John to Paul McCartney - who brought another Liverpool Institute friend, Len Garry, to meet John.

Len Garry tells the watching audience at Strawberry Field in Liverpool about how he was invited to join The Quarrymen and become friends with John Lennon.
