This vintage railway film, produced by Walton Films in 1948 in the last days before nationalisation, follows the journey of LMS Jubilee class No. 5614 'Leeward Islands', from the driver leaving home to arriving at Manchester.
5614 was built in 1934 at Crewe works and was based at Kentish Town MPD when the film was shot. She was eventually scrapped in 1964.
