The City of Maribor: Weekend Vibes (Part 3/3)

Welcome to the final part of our journey through Maribor! In this last episode, I’m taking you on a tour that combines history, nature, and some incredible local food.

Our adventure begins with a look at the Maribor Bishop's Gymnasium and the popular Kalvarija hill, famous for its 455 stairs that are a favorite spot for locals looking for a workout. Next, we pass by Račji Dvor Mansion, once a beloved inn known for its delicious smoked pork hocks. We’ll continue past the Vrbanski Plato, an important source of drinking water for the city, before heading to the heart of the city and the iconic Ljudski vrt Stadium.

From there, we'll explore the beautiful City Park with its three ponds, and then take a scenic drive through the wine region of Vinarje and Rošpoh on our way to Kamnica. Our final stop for a much-needed meal is the fantastic Gostišče Sobočan, a must-visit for great food. After lunch, we'll head back through the city center, ending our journey at the Supernova shopping center.
