Well I'm very excited to get my hands back on this very interesting 2.7L turbomax inline 4 cylinder engine because it seems like alot of owners and buyers are having real success with this power plant of an engine.

I wanted to discuss 5 main things with this engine back in the shop. firstly however I go over some of the awesome new technology stuffed into this engine.

the first point I wanted to discuss is the updated warranty. GM has updated the standard powertrain warranty to 5 years/ 100,000 miles which is massive and I really like to see this. gives me good faith that GM is seeing these engine not having any major issues and they still feel like they can make money from them while extending the warranty.

Next is the strength of the engine. this little engine is truly built to be in a pick up truck with fully forged internals, iron liners, off-set cylinder, billet steel camshafts and a very stiff and strong crankshaft. GM truly gave this engine some good strength.
