Neha Sanghrajka, Senior Conflict Sensitivity Advisor with the United Nations and Fellow and Senior Advisor at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) will speak on her experiences as a mediator/ negotiator in Mozambique leading to the Maputo Accord of 2019 and her role in the peace process in Kenya during the electoral crisis of 2007.
The WISCOMP dialogues on mediation are envisioned as a series of curated public lectures, roundtables, panel discussions, interactive dialogues, film discussions, performances and installations that demystify the theory and practice of mediation as applied to arena of peace building. It attempts to shine a torch on the relevance and efficacy of mediation particularly in
areas where there has been a breach of peace.
WISCOMP (Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace) is a pioneering South Asian research and training initiative that foregrounds leadership of women in peace and security and promotes cultures of pluralism and coexistence in the region.
The knowledge generated through research is disseminated by WISCOMP to civil society actors and educational institutions (schools, colleges and universities) through diverse methodologies that include training workshops, symposiums, roundtables, film festivals, installations, exhibitions, public lectures, curricular development and innovative pedagogy.
