Raphiel “Raphi” Chambers is an extraordinary Nyahbinghi reggae musician and music producer whose talent and versatility have made him a rising star in the Jamaican music scene.
A multi-instrumentalist, Raphi plays five instruments, including the bass guitar, drums, and Nyahbinghi percussion, which he began mastering as early as age three. His deep connection to Rastafarian culture and spirituality is reflected in the meditative rhythms and conscious messages that define his music.
Raphi’s musical journey is marked by impressive achievements. Under the mentorship of renowned musician Iauwata Amha Selassie MD, he mastered the bass guitar in just two weeks. Shortly after, he arranged, recorded, and released his debut album, I Feel Like I Wanna Go Home, with his band Rock Top in an astonishing two-week period.
As the founder of Rocktop Records, Raphi has produced music not only for himself but for various artists across genres, demonstrating his ability to innovate while remaining true to reggae’s cultural roots.
His singles, such as “Please Mi,” “Never Gonna Fall,” and “Life,” blend personal introspection with social commentary, resonating with a broad audience. Raphi’s live performances at prestigious events like Reggae Sumfest and Rebel Salute further showcase his powerful stage presence and spiritual energy.
