I traveled from Thanot to a remote desert area in Rajasthan, where I met people who tended to their goats and cows. I asked them if I could stay the night, and they kindly agreed. The area was filled with livestock and featured a small hut where the herders lived. In the evening, they prepared a traditional large flatbread called 'Ram Rota,' which was cooked over a fire fueled by cow dung cakes. They used small wooden sticks and the dung cakes to create the fire, and then placed the bread on top to cook. It was a unique experience, and I stayed the night in that hut, feeling a mix of excitement and a bit of fear. The next morning, I woke up and continued my journey beyond the desert.
And when they fed the baby goats, they would gently lift them up and set them down. I just want to clarify for viewers that there’s nothing harmful or abusive happening. It’s done out of affection and care for the animals, and no harm is intended whatsoever.
