'Kasi matatalo kami ni Leni': Sara Duterte says it was Imee Marcos who convinced her to run for VP

In a tell-all press conference on Friday (October 18), Vice President Sara Duterte revealed that it was Imee Marcos, sister of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., who convinced her to her for the national post in 2022.

"I'm happy that she was honest enough to say, 'Kasi matatalo kami ni Leni kung hindi mo dalhin ang Bisaya,'" Duterte recalled, referring to her predecessor Leni Robredo, who her presidential bid to Marcos.
