Описание:

Today, we're diving (or you might say floating) into the amazing world of buoyancy – the magical force that makes objects float or sink in fluids. Get ready to explore how we determine whether something will bob on the surface or gracefully descend underwater, all based on the concept of buoyancy and the density of objects and fluids.

Imagine you're at the beach, holding a beach ball. Now, let's talk about buoyancy. It's like the invisible hand that decides whether your beach ball floats or sinks when you let it go in the water. Buoyancy is all about the balance between the weight of an object and the upward force exerted by the fluid it's in.

This "Minds On" lesson aligns with the Ontario Grade 8 Science Curriculum expectation: C2.5 determine the buoyancy of an object, given its density, in a variety of fluids
