Everybody HATES Chris EXCEPT For Ms. Morello | Was She Racist?

Ms. Vivian Morello is one of the most unforgettable characters from Everybody Hates Chris not because she’s evil or mean-spirited, but because she’s the walking definition of “unintentionally racist.” With her overly sympathetic tone, her obsession with Black stereotypes, and her constant backhanded “compliments,” Ms. Morello somehow believes she’s Chris’s biggest supporter... while constantly proving how little she actually understands him.

In this video, I'm doing a deep dive into the chaotic character of Ms. Morello the “nice” teacher with a whole lotta prejudice hiding behind her chocolate milk and awkward smiles. From thinking Chris was a crack baby to insisting that his mom was an addict and that he didn’t know his father (despite Julius literally working two jobs!), Ms. Morello is peak delusional ally energy.
