In this video, we discuss the technology of transition functions which enable one to construct vector bundles in the same way that the Mobius band is typically constructed, namely, "gluing and pasting". This is an essential tool in geometry. As an example, we construct all the holomorphic line bundles on the projective line, and show how transition functions also allow us to compute with bundles too by determining their space of sections.
