Homemade Rosehip Jam | Less Sugar! 4-Ingredient Recipe!

Packed with vitamins and minerals, rosehips are great not just for a cup of healthy tea but also make an excellent jam. The best thing is that they grow everywhere in the wild and are a free source of vitamin C and healthy fibers. If you like foraging like me, you can just take a nice walk in late autumn and pick some rosehips to prepare a really delicious jam, which I am sure you will enjoy on a slice of roasted bread or used in some sweet homemade recipes.
At home we really love this jam - slightly tart but very aromatic, it tastes great, but the jam is not very popular in the shops, so it’s always best to make it at home. This way you have full control over the ingredients you use, and the recipe I will share in this video is with reduced sugar, so it is far better than the store-bought versions.
For my recipe, I used the ingredients below (you can multiply them if you have more fruit). Our rose hip bushes were unfortunately checked and harvested by neighbors before we could even pick the fruits we needed for more jam.
To prepare the rosehips
1200 g rosehips, well washed, no stems
1200 ml water
To finish the jam
The pulp you extracted from the rosehips (in my case 900 g)
350 ml water
350 g sugar
1 pack (25 g) gelling agent 3:1 ratio. I used Gelfix Oetker (not sponsored).
The above ingredients made 4 jars of jam, each 415 ml.
