बांग्लादेश में जो हिंदुओं के साथ हो रहा है वह कोई नई बात नहीं है। यह सैकड़ों साल से हो रहा है। हिंदू मार खाने के लिए अभिशप्त नजर आते हैं। मुसलमान संख्या में कम होने पर भी हिंदू विरोधी हिंसा से बाज नहीं आते। उन्हें पता है कि हिंदुओं का एक वर्ग है जो उनके बचाव में हिंदुओं के विरोध में खड़ा हो जाएगा । मुसलमानों की अपनी नहीं इन हिंदुओं के समर्थन की ताक़त से हिम्मत बढ़ती है। निकट भविष्य में इसमें कोई परिवर्तन आएगा इसकी उम्मीद दिखाई नहीं देती । इसलिए मुसलमान जहां संख्या में कम हैं वहाँ भी हिन्दू मार खाएँगे और जहाँ ज़्यादा हैं वहाँ तो मार खाना तय है।
