Nigerian government ‘speaking nonsense’ by covering up the real number of Christian slaughters

Aid to the Church in Need Australia and New Zealand National Director Bernard Toutounji says the Nigerian government has “failed to take any meaningful action” to prevent attacks on Nigerian Christians.
Reports from the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law found there is an average of more than 30 Christians in Nigeria being killed every day, and more than 7,000 Christians have been killed in Nigeria this year.
The Nigerian government has pushed back against these reports and has claimed them as misleading.
“The government is speaking nonsense and hoping the world doesn’t pay attention,” Mr Toutounji told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.
“Since the year 2000, more than 60,000 Christians have been murdered by Islamist groups.”
