The Central Bureau of Investigation is the premier investigating agency of India. Operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the CBI is headed by the Director.
How can I join CBI?
To become a group A officer in CBI, you must choose Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC and become an IPS officer. To join as Sub Inspector in CBI, you must go through SSC CGL examination. To become a Sub Inspector in Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI ), you must pass SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam.
What is CBI and its function?
The broad function of the CBI is to investigate:
(2) Economic crimes, including bank frauds, financial frauds, Import Export & Foreign Exchange violations, large-scale smuggling of narcotics, antiques, cultural property and smuggling of other contraband items etc.
What is salary of CBI officer?
According to current pay scales, you would get a salary of around 45,000/- per month initially. Sub Inspector CBI Job Profile: The CBI Officer Job is hard to handle due to no schedule of timing.
