DRAGON'S DOGMA 2 Is Deeply Disappointing

Dragon's Dogma 2 by Capcom is both exactly the game you'd expect but also not the game I thought we deserved to get. Creative director Hideaki Itsuno had big ideas for the first game like a hang glider, the beastren race, going to the moon, and more, and had to cut it for time/money purposes. I figured most if not all of that would show up here; almost none of it does. What is improved is minimal but welcome, and what isn't improved or simply much worse than the first time is astounding. After 12 years, I'd expected a more committed and wholehearted attempt to honor their earlier work but also elevate it.
