SLK's are the original folding hard-top convertible and are also one of the best compact roadsters of all time. This car combines the power of its 6 cylinder, 3.5 litre engine with a silky smooth tiptronic automatic transmission, complete with paddles. Having covered just 76k miles from new this model is exceptionally pretty, with a lovely specification. This car is finished in Metallic cubanite silver with black leather - a solid, rust free example which is in good, original condition with original alloy wheels and a good, solid stance. The cars superb, original condition ranks it among the best I have ever seen and being a facelifted model (post 2004) this is still a very modern looking car, that has been built to last.

Of course the real beauty of an SLK is it is essentially 2 cars in 1. During the winter months you can leave the hard-top up and enjoy the sumptuous leather clad interior, which is fully air conditioned and even has electric seats. During finer weather you can remove the hard-top at the touch of a button and reveal those iconic lines that made the SLK one of the most famous open top cars of its day. This car has a neat design with the aerodynamic shape and rear roll-over hoops just behind the front head restraints which improve safety and prevent the interior becoming to blustery at speed - as a result on a fine day the SLK can be driven long distances with the top down, and just enough wind in your hair to be enjoyable, but not uncomfortable. Roof up or down the SLK remains one of the most handsome cars ever produced. The neat features of the SLK, such as the neat roof design have been copied by pretty much every manufacturer since - but the original is still, in my experience the best - as a result the SLK's roof is smooth, reliable and 100% water tight. The SLK is a quality car which was way ahead of its day.

The solidity of this car is evident the moment you open the door - The interior has been crafted from quality materials and all the switchgear operates with a precision that is testament to the engineering excellence these cars are famed for.

The 6 cylinder SLK sounds beautiful and is guaranteed to raise a smile every time you drive it. With 268 horsepower in a compact 2 seater body, performance is brisk. 0-60 mph takes just 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph flat out. The songful, naturally aspirated V6 engine provides plenty of torque and ensures the SLK is relaxing to drive as well as fast. Whilst the straight line speed is superb, Even more impressive is the way this car handles. The rear-wheel-drive SLK is entertaining to drive, but also has ESP stability control which ensures the car remains sure footed in all weather conditions. The turn in is instant and the handling well-balanced while the suspension is still very comfortable.

Mercedes of this era had a quality feel that is often lacking in cars today. Despite its age the SLK has an interior that is free from wear. The high quality of the leather has ensures the seats are looking like new, with plenty of support on the bolsters. All the cars plastics are well presented and all the cars switchgear works as it should. This is an original, unmolested example which is one of the classiest cars its this sector.
