Polygamy was voted into a law in Kenya, on March, the 22nd of 2014. I have 199 reasons to be against Polygamy, and ,,,,,, 3 excuses that overrun the 199 reasons.

Excuse number 1; Monogamy reminds of the Nyayo Era One Party rule (1979 – 1992)!

The Excuse number 2; I have had a nightmare with Monogamy!
During some of my holidays in the land of Safari 254, I escorted the following ladies on different occasions to the Machakos Country Bus Station on their return to Colleges from half-terms;

and ,,,none of them came back to me when schools closed;

When it happened I felt frustrated and rejected; I flew abroad to try something else.
It didn’t work as expected;
Gabriella = no ringo (abandoned me),
Larissa = no ringo,
Bianca = no ringo,
Fernanda = no ringo.
Paula = no ringo ! Too bad!

But then, every doug has his day.

So, Tania had been dating for 3 yrs. but she was not happy. We met, I told her my story and she did tell hers, we smiled back and went for 2 or 3 dinners. Soon, we went to the key-cutter and she got a copy of my apartment.

On the graduation night, we drank and slept at the hall since there is a law anti-drunk driving a.k.a DUI.

I woke up in the morning and she wasn’t on my side. Neither was anything of hers’ except cartridge of lipstick she had used on the dance floor. I drove home and slept.

That evening I watched some report about Global warming and its impact on many species, including me.
2 days later, the Green Belt SOS Mata Atlantica was in my city to plant trees. I volunteered and did my part.

At coffee break, I read some news about the Polygamy Bill in Kenya. Immediately, I thought the bill would fail miserably with the anti-riot feminist SAS, including Rachel Shebbesh, Mishi Mboko, Gladys Wanga, Milly Odhiambo and Miss Passaris.

Luckily,the pro-life wing (Joseph Mbadi, Kiunjuri, Raphael Wanjala, Charles Keter ,Fred Outa and Jakoyo Midiwo) swung into action. When I woke up to read the newspapers online, it was a…. YES!

A Week later I met Tania, I said yeeeessss and she replied Nooooo!

Imagine that;

Monogamy was invented during the Industrial Revolution in Europe. The factory owners wanted their casual labourers to abandon their rural homes and live near the factories in small houses inform of semi-slums.

Every man was to have limited space and one wife only so that he spends most of the time producing for the factory, and lesser with the family.

The factory owners were elites and had theocratic influence in the society then so their wishes became the laws.

Two; Monogamous men have upto 30% more chances of dying of heart diseases, depression and prostate cancer compared to bigamists.

Most monogamous men are malnourished.

Women in bigamist marriages are more confident and healthier than majority in monogamous marriage. They can go through pregnancy and lactating period without the burst of sexual hormone peaks due to restrain and hence bear healthier babies, besides they themselves looking younger for long.

Last; Unity is strength, if any of the three fall sick, the other two are there for him or hers.

Least; Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon, Buddha, Mohamed, Krishna were all Polygamists.

Jesus Christ was murdered at only 30 yrs. so we never know what choice he could have made had he lasted longer.

I’m ok with some Poly words e.g Polythene, Polytechnics, Polypeptides, Polymers
but NOT Polygamy.
