In the border village of Keran in #kupwara district of #kashmir , the dilapidated houses of villagers tells a sordid tale of another 'displacement.' During the peak of #insurgency in early 90s, the #pakistan government forced around 20,000 people of Keran village to cross over to Muzaffarabad in PoJK, to prevent #indian forces from learning about their nefarious plans of spreading #jihad in the valley. As years lapsed, and peace prevailed, some of them returned to their small hamlet on the Indian side of the LoC. TNI's Raja Muneeb travels to Keran, and speaks to these people who share their life experiences.
