“The Calling:” A Look Inside the Emotional Journey of Medical School | Amanpour and Company

From America's withdrawal from the World Health Organization to the appointment of vaccine skeptic Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services, the public health sector has seen radical change since Trump's return to the Oval Office. The importance of healthcare is underscored in a new documentary, "The Calling: A Medical School Journey." It follows the academic and personal stories of students at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Filmmaker Asako Gladsjo and one of the film's subjects, Dr. Le’Shauna Phinazee, join Hari Sreenivasan to discuss what it takes to become a physician in America's underserved communities.
