VILLA DELLE SACCA - (Convitto ex Cicognini) - TUSCANY - ITALY
Villa delle Sacca was a monastery of the first half of the XIII century
situated in the district of Prato in Tuscany.
Until 1784 the polyptych ,painted by Andrea del Giusto ( previously
attributed to Lorenzo Monaco) , was conserved there.
Actually it is in the museum of Palazzo Pretorio.
The settlement is formed by a transverse wing which constitutes the
primitive convent with the rests of Alberese structures and traces of
medieval constructions. We can also notice the church with the annexed
chapel.
It was partly restored in the 70s .
It is situated on the Spazzavento hill and it's completely in
degradation.
