DODGE DAKOTA R/T ENGINE REMOVAL

In this DODGE DAKOTA R/T ENGINE REMOVAL video we remove the engine from a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T with the 5.9L Magnum V8 Engine. The engine blew up due to increased wear on the bearings in the bottom end we believe as there were copper flakes in the engine oil. The supercharger from procharger most likely expedited the increased wear on this engine causing it to show its weakness. Rather than having more downtime we found a used 5.9L engine from a crashed durango R/T that we are going to install in this pickup truck for now to get it running. The replacement engine apparently had a rebuild not too long ago but we will see how healthy the engine is before deciding to push this engine to the limit. We will also decide whether or not to start rebuilding the engine we took out and just keep this engine stock for the time being.
