2nd test of the day was this STH-10 located at Lattimore, NC. We arrived here with the other guys, and met with GSPiedmont425 to repair this siren as it's FC fried after a power surge, so they replaced it and it now works great. This siren originally was tested in fast wail, but we made it get tested in attack instead as fast wail is hard on the motor. So from now on, this unit is tested in attack.
This siren is apart of Cleveland County's warning system, but is strictly used for weather alerts and not fire calls. Originally installed in 2000, it was moved here in 2019 following the new station getting built here.
Cleveland County consists of various Federal Signal sirens, including 3T22's, 2T22's, STH-10's, a lone 2001-130, a lone Equinox, 2 Eclipse 8's, a lone Model 5, and even a Sentry 3V8-H and a Sterling M, although I don't think the Sentry and Sterling are apart of the system. The system is tested the 1st Saturday of each moth at noon, not weather permitting.
This STH-10 is located at Number 7 VFD in Lattimore, NC.
