1994’te kurulan İsveçli Gothic Doom Metal topluluğu Draconian’ın stüdyo albümleri kronolojik olarak şöyledir:

“Death, Come Near Me” 2005 yılındaki “Arcane Rain Fell” adlı ikinci albümlerinin 8 no’lu son parçasıdır. Albümdeki parçaların çoğu gibi sözleri Anders Jacobsson tarafından yazılmıştır ve bestesi de Johan Ericson’a âittir.

“Arcane Rain Fell”, John Milton'un epik şiiri "Paradise Lost"tan ve Lord Byron'ın "Cain: A Mystery" adlı oyunundan alıntılar içeren, Lucifer’in Cennet’ten düşüşünü ve Cehennem’in yaradılışını detaylandırıp yorumlayan bir konsept albümdür.
