Jones has 44 career starts and gives Ben Johnson another option at left tackle if Theo Benedet struggles or if he were to get injured. LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin has also been signed to the Bears active roster from the practice squad. He could see some playing time behind Tremaine Edmunds and D’Marco Jackson at linebacker with Edwards and Noah Sewell out for the season. Speaking of Sewell, the Bears have signed his brother Nephi Sewell to the practice squad. He’s also a linebacker who’s played in 30 career games for the Saints, including under Dennis Allen from 2022-24.
