Malshej Ghat is located in Thane district. The great thing about Malshej Ghat is that it is almost equidistant from all major cities.

From Nasik it is 140 Km, from Mumbai 160 km and from Pune it is 130 km.

Best Time to Visit - Monsoon Months from June to September and Winter Months from November to January.

In Monsoon, the whole region comes alive with water running through waterfalls, mountains and over cliffs. It is unrecognizable from the Summers. Malshej Ghat has waterfalls, view points, valley views, Lakes and Dam. Overall it is a great place to spend your time with your loved ones.

To come to Malshej during monsoon and not get wet during rains is a crime. The misty mountain tops and the extensive valley view are the best views one can get.

Be careful of the traffic and crowd. Generally in the monsoons the weekends are crowded with almost all waterfalls being crowded. People should be careful of falling rocks from the cliffs too. Do not drink and drive in the Ghat.
