Quinn Emanuel Artist-in-Residence Program participant Carmen Mardonez is a Los Angeles-based textile artist. She considers her art “freestyle embroidery” or “embroidery with no rules”, and uses needle and thread as her mediums.
Quinn’s 2023 Artist-in-Residence Program is a four-month-long effort to support emerging artists to develop their practice and engage with a new community. This year, we have three Los Angeles participants and are looking to recruit more artists for the New York City Program. This residency is open to emerging and mid-career artists working in all disciplines.
