1965 Ford Fairlane "Cow" Induction | Ford & Mustang Roundup | Silver Springs | Ocala Florida

On this episode of My Classic Car Dennis travels to Silver Springs in Ocala, FL for the Ford and Mustang Roundup. In this natural haven we spy a few rare birds with the blue oval in their lineage, and we catch a '65 Fairlane, '66 Continental, '75 Mustang II, a Model A Speedster, and a '69 Cougar XR7. The '65 Fairlane has evolved into a stylish drag strip predator. With a serious roll cage, massive supercharger atop a 429 4 Bolt Main, and tubbed for the large wheels, it's also sporting a leather interior and stereo...next to the parachute button, so be careful. It's street legal, but totally not a fair fight. With it's mechanical dance and sage gold metallic paint, this '66 Continental attracts anyone nearby. So big and so slab-sided, this one is still straight as an arrow, and the suicide doors open the interior all the way up. Cruising in style and comfort, it's a mechanical marvel. Not normally something you look for, unless it's the front suspension, this Mustang II is pretty special. With a stroked and bored 460 set back 10 inches, a Mach 1 scoop, complete rear sub-frame, and tubbed, it's a very subtle looking street racer far stronger than those that have come before. Detroit sleeper street racing. Old doesn't always mean slow with this Model A Speedster. Mechanical linkage everywhere, racing these back in the day must have been intense! The '69 Cougar looks pretty eye catching as well with its gulf stream aqua color, comfort weave interior, and wood grain dash, there is style to spare in this beautiful car.
