He has been defying odds, inspiring others and making people’s toes tap for years. Now a musician from Virginia is hitting it big in the major leagues. In my latest “I Have a Story” I share the story of an artist whose story and songs are resonating from coast to coast. George Dennehy was born without arms and abandoned in an orphanage in Romania. But a couple from Virginia adopted George at the age of two giving him a chance at life. The Patrick Henry High School graduate endured endless teasing and bullying. George found an escape in music. He learned to play the cello, piano and guitar. The married father of two travels the country delivering motivational talks. He even recorded an album. George’s talents caught the ear of the Baltimore Orioles. Recently George was invited to sing the National Anthem before tens of thousands of baseball fans at Camden Yards. Here is the story of the man who is overcoming life-long challenges while inspiring others with his sweet music and story of salvation
