With EdgeSaver, high-quality fibers can be optimally utilized and costs can be reduced for multilayer paper. Due to an innovative concept, the edge cut is done directly at the headbox and not after couching, as was previously the case. In addition, the unique blade design of EdgeSaver ensures turbulence-free cutting, prevention of fiber deposits and discharge of the excess stock jet before jet impingement point. The EdgeSaver edge cutting system returns accumulating fresh fibers to the production cycle and optimizes the quality of the web edges. Thus raw material costs can be substantially reduced and the return on investment comes after only a few months. At a customer's facility with mixed production, amortization was achieved after only eight months.
