12,000 Gallons of Milk Rolled Over in a Ditch

The Wilcox crew was called out early on this cold Saturday morning in late December to recover a tanker load of milk that had rolled over. Because of fuel spilling out of the tanks, the guys went right into action first pumping off the remaining fuel from both tanks. After that, it was a waiting game for the majority of the milk to be pumped off into another tanker. While the milk was being pumped off, the guys took turns digging under the rear end of the tanker in order to get a strap rigged under the side. Once the tanker was pumped about 85% off, the rotators were brought into position and the tractor and tanker was then uprighted. After winching it from the ditch back into the roadway, the tractor and tanker was towed to another trucking company's shop, where they finished pumping out the remaining milk.
