🇨🇭 Dr Aliya Sarmanova MD, PhD, Clinical Development Lead in Oncology and Genetics at Roche Diagnostics Europe, holding a medical degree from Astana Medical University and expertise as an internal medicine doctor and rheumatologist, completed her PhD at the University of Nottingham, UK. She has contributed to personalized medicine through research and clinical trials since 2014, authoring over 30 publications and reviewing for top medical journals. Currently, she's writing a nonfiction book on evidence-based medicine for patients and aiding Kazakhstani doctors in scholarly writing research papers in English.

🇨🇭 Dr Islam Salikhanov MD, MPH, PhD, a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the University Hospital of Basel, earned his MD in General Surgery from Astana Medical University and furthered his education with a Master's degree in Public Health from Nazarbayev University. In 2023, he was awarded his PhD from the University of Basel. Presently, he serves as a Clinical Researcher in Cardiac Surgery at the University Hospital Basel, contributing to advancements in the field.

🇩🇪 Dr Galymzhan Issabekov MD, MSc, Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Neurology at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin, holding a medical degree from Peking University, Beijing, China, completed a specialized residency in neurosurgery at the Beijing Institute of Functional Neurosurgery. Following this, he undertook clinical research fellowships in Florida, USA, and Tokyo, Japan. These experiences provided him with the opportunity to work alongside leading experts in the fields of space medicine and clinical neuroscience. Currently conducting research on Deep Brain Stimulation and Microelectrode Recording to improve Parkinson’s Disease treatment.

🇩🇪 Dr Arailym Aronova, MD, MSc, a Doctoral Researcher at the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research, LMU Hospital Munich, her research in cardiovascular medicine explores the molecular mechanisms of atherosclerosis. Obtained her MD from Asfendiyarov Medical University and experience in Emergency Medicine in Almaty. Holding a Master’s in Cardiovascular Medicine from the University of Bristol, UK, she specialized in the Wnt signaling pathway's role in vascular inflammation. Beyond science, Arailym enjoys landscape photography, hiking, exploring art galleries, playing the piano and dombyra.
