How to Wrap Hold Back Straps

The breeching and your hold back straps are a VERY important part of your harness. The hold back straps connect the breeching (which in driving terms equals your BRAKES) to the cart by wrapping around the shafts. The way you wrap can be the difference between the straps staying nice and tight and the straps loosening as you drive. So watch closely!

I am using my Hyperbike for this video. Please don't get stuck on what my shafts look like compared to your shafts. Something you absolutely MUST have on your shafts are the footmans loops. This is because you will run the hold backs through the footmans loops and then wrap them, to ensure the hold backs HOLD the cart BACK off the horse or pony. Hence the name 'hold backs.'
