Spurn Point - Julian Pettifer has a brief wintery look at life on the remote Spurn peninsular, the only full time lifeboat station in England.
I don't think Julian was too impressed with the barren remoteness of Spurn.
My father was mechanic on the Humber Lifeboat and I lived at Spurn from being born to age 7. I loved living there, it was a wonderous place!
Julian has no idea!
