Can you learn a language while sleeping? Pt.1

Ever wondered if you can really learn something (like a language?!) whilst asleep? No? Well, I did for some reason - although it must be said I was pretty firmly on the 'no' side, probably something to do with me being ASLEEP and not LISTENING... But hey if we can find a real life cheat code makes it worth a shot right? Anyway this is pt.1 of me trying to find out once and for all whether this is fact or fiction... Sorry it's in two parts, I just couldn't fit it all as one!
