A Lightweight SOME/IP-Based Security Solution

This presentation from Technica Engineering by Regina Leis and Dr. Lars Völker, delivered at the Ethernet & IP Techday 2025, proposes a lightweight SOME/IP-based security solution for switch monitoring and management in automotive systems. The solution focuses on securely installing Connectivity Association Keys (CAKs) into switches and protecting SOME/IP communication using SOME/IP-KeyEx and SOME/IP-Sec, while reusing existing Media Access Control security (MACsec) key agreement (MKA) cryptographic algorithms.
