Destiny 2 - Argos, Planetary Core - Eater of Worlds Raid Lair Final Boss

Argos, Planetary Core final raid boss kill in the Eater of Worlds Leviathan Raid Lair!

Basically, there's three phases to this fight. Charging the craniums, damage phase, and staggering him.

Charging the craniums - There will be three orbs that will appear around Argos and they will converge on one of the three sides (Arc side, Void side, or Solar side). What your team needs to do is charge three craniums that correspond to the elements of those orbs. So, if you see Arc, Arc, and Solar orbs, you're going to want to charge two Arc craniums and one Solar cranium. Now, when those are done charging, you will all meet up at the side where the orbs converge. Then, you shoot the orbs with the matching craniums and when those orbs reach the middle, his shield will break and you can do damage.

Damage phase - Bake the boss! Three things you need to keep in mind for this fight: 1. Argos's Triangle attack, 2. Argos's Skull attack, and 3. general add control.

1. Triangle Attack - Argos will start the damage phase by shooting out the triangles. You need to be quick to dodge them but if you get touched by it, you will get detained and float away. If you get detained, your teammates need to shoot the barrier around you to help you break free or otherwise you will fly away and die.

2. Skull Attack - These are similar to Axion Bolts from Destiny 1. They home in on someone but you can shoot them out of the sky before they touch you. Argos will shoot two sets of them during damage phase. You will see them spawn around his head in sets of 3.

3. General add control - If someone has a roaming super, just pop it after you run out of rockets or whatever.


Staggering him - After each damage phase, you have to stagger Argos or he'll wipe the team. When he starts his animation, the shield around him will disappear. There are six white spots on Argos's body. To stagger him, you need to break two of the six. There are two on his legs, two on his back, and two on his head. You can group of and teamshot them or split up into groups. I recommend something like Coldheart, Prometheus Lens, or even a Valakadyn. You'll need to navigate rings around Argos to get a good view

Getting better damage - Since it only requires 3 craniums to break Argos's shield, you should still charge the other three to shoot at him during damage phase. Next up, you want to be using Cluster rockets with Rallying Barricades and Empowering Rifts if possible. So good weapons would be the Coldheart / Prometheus Lens, and the Curtain Call or Sins of the Past.
