The Kent School of English

The Kent School of English contacted us to create a promotional video to showcase the wide range of courses and activities on offer. Our brief was to create a two minute promotional film and banner video for their updated website, working in conjunction with their web developers and our good friends Squiders. After a meeting with school principal Andy Flaig, we were able to understand the impressive facilities the school offers to students from all around the world. In order to meet important criteria, we responded immediately to a request to film at very short notice, creating a shooting schedule and script to ensure all involved with the film were able to understand their role and to ensure that no valuable shooting time was lost.

Filming over two days at five locations in Broadstairs as well as on the cliff tops of this lovely seaside resort, we were able to create a film to grab the attention of and prospective visitors. Great shots of the huge range summer sports and other activities on offer as well as interviews with overseas group leaders, existing staff and a student host in her own home gave us the opportunity to deliver a strong message. Further shooting on location in Canterbury, Dover and London to underline the great location of the school and the range of excursions on offer completed the project in record time. From initial consultation to delivery of the completed films took just two weeks, much to the delight of the client and web developers.

A close relationship with the client, positive organisational skills, clear and concise communication coupled with attention to detail are essential in planning projects of this kind and we were able to demonstrate all of these attributes for this project. Copper Tree’s ability to provide all of the equipment required including drones in house enabled us to provide a quick, cost effective and most of all interesting film that the client will be able to use to showcase the school for several years to come.
