Lesson 2: Something Like Yes-No question.
In this video, I've also got more Lanta Islanders to meet everyone, a long-lost friend, my neighbor, a lady from one of my local fast-food restaurants. So let's see what we've learned today:
1) sà-baai dee mái? (สบายดีไหม?) = How are you? (You're fine or not?)
2) sà-baai dee (สบายดี) = (I'm) fine.
3) dee (ดี) = Good
4) mâi sà-baai (ไม่สบาย) = Not fine.
5) ...mái? (ไหม) = a question "...or not?"
6) mâi... (ไม่) = no; not
7) à-ròi (อร่อย) = be tasty; delicious
8) à-ròi mái? (อร่อยไหม?) = Is it delicious? (Is it good?)
9) à-ròi mâak (อร่อยมาก) = Very delicious.
10) pèt mái (เผ็ดไหม?) = Is it spicy?
11) pèt nít nòi (เผ็ดนิดหน่อย) = A little bit spicy,
12) mâak (มาก) = Very much
13) nít nòi (นิดหน่อย) = A little bit
I hope you enjoyed the lesson and can use the sentences above with Thai people. Let's go out and impress them (if you can find any Thai near you, of course)
