The Creator, “… I design and make alternative jewellery inspired by gothic symbolism. My work is filled with skulls and bones, swords and daggers, bats and snakes - those eerie, unsettling things that make some people squirm. I’ve always been drawn to the macabre, and for a long time, I’ve wanted to create an oracle deck infused with the same dark symbols I return to in my jewellery time and time again. The Storm Cloud Oracle is my vision of a beautifully illustrated mini-encyclopedia of gothic emblems. Each of the 44 cards is based on a bad omen, a feared creature, or an unlucky sign - drawn as if seen in a cloud. But within every shadow, there is light. Each card carries a message of hope, courage, and resilience - because, of course, every storm cloud has a silver lining.”

She continues, “Many mass-market oracle decks are light, bright, and 'love & lighty'. That’s beautiful - but it’s not the whole story. I wanted to make a deck that acknowledged the hard stuff. 'Bad omens' aren’t always bad. These symbols that we are told to fear hold power and strength. And when you’re in a dark place, you don’t always want to be told to just ‘look on the bright side.’ Sometimes, you want a deck that sits with you in the dark and says:You’re not alone. You’re not broken. The storm will pass. For the artwork, I’ve teamed up with my longtime friend and collaborator, Mari (@vvitchofthevvoods). Her intricate, haunting style perfectly captures the deck’s essence. She shares my love of gothic symbolism and has a talent for composition and storytelling that brings each card to life.”
