This is part 3 of 3 of my oil pan off projects. Thrust washer replacement with the engine in place and oil pan restoration and install tips.
I sent my measurements to Scott and he advised on sizes to get. You keep the stock size for the front one and adjust the rear one to your needs. This thrust washers are made to order. They are wider and higher quality being a special bronze allow. Stock ones are steel with a bronze coating. The coating wears off easily and then the thrust washer start to get too thin and eventually fall out and/or cause damage to the block.
Please get these from Scott. Yes I paid full price and got nothing for free. Once installed you'll never have to worry about them again. My measurements from outside were a little off and my final gap was a little too tight. So that became a learning item I describe also on how to thin these out a little bit. Really not a big deal. Its better to be a little too big and adjust for obvious reasons.
